Project44 Ocean Container Dwell Times (P44ODTPOL, P44ODTTSP, P44ODTPOD)

WHAT IS IT?

The Project44 Ocean Container Dwell Times (SONAR: P44ODTPOL, P44ODTTSP, P44ODTPOD) are a set of weekly indices that measure the average number of days ocean containers are held at ports of lading, transshipment ports, and ports of discharge. The indices provide this information for 150 major container ports globally.

P44ODTPOL.CNSZP, for instance, displays weekly average container dwell times for containers outbound from the port of Shenzhen, China. P44ODTTSP.SGSIN, on the other hand, displays average weekly container dwell times for containers being transshipped, or transferred from one vessel to another, at the port of Shanghai. Finally, P44ODTPOD.MXLZC calls up average weekly container dwell times for containers being discharged from vessels at Lazaro Cardenas.
