The portion of container shipments on railroad that departed outbound from a particular market during the prior seven days. ORAILMS is broken down between loaded and empty: ORAILMSL and ORAILMSE.
ORAILMS gives the relative importance of a particular geographic regions (e.g., Chicago or Los Angeles) on the outbound railroad containerized trade flows. Graphing ORAILMS over time shows whether outbound container flows from a region are increasing and graphing against IRAILMS shows the net container flows in a particular region.
