The portion of container shipments on railroad that departed outbound from a particular market during the prior seven days.

Railroads, railroad shippers, intermodal marketing companies, drayage companies, freight brokerage companies, analysts

WHAT DOES IT TELL ME?

ORAILMS gives the relative importance of a particular geographic regions (e.g., Chicago or Los Angeles) on the outbound railroad containerized trade flows. Graphing ORAILMS over time shows whether outbound container flows from a region are increasing and graphing against IRAILMS shows the net container flows in a particular region.
