Diesel Truck Stop Actual Price per Gallon (DTS)

WHAT IS IT?

DTS is the average price of diesel fuel purchased in a given market expressed in dollars per gallon.

WHO IS INTERESTED?

Fuel departments, CFOs, financial analysts, fleet managers, owner operators

WHAT DOES IT TELL ME?

The DTS is a more granular look at diesel fuel prices than the standard DOE measurement. The DTS cost tells you the real cost of diesel in each region as it will be weighted by the number of gallons purchased versus available retail price. This can be used to evaluate where trucks need to fuel in order to get the best rate as well as evaluating whether or not you are getting the best deal on contracted fuel programs.
